HIGH DEFINITION BLUR is a series that explores the contradiction of dreams as they relate to visual representation. It aims to randomly recreate the fragmented, often incomplete, and sometimes surreal nature of dreams. Though these visual explorations aren't pre-designed, they evolve into narratives that are accessible to all. Contrary to flawless, high-definition digital imagery, this series offers a softened representation, free from fixed interpretation. It isn’t about illustrating recurring themes identified through psychological analyses or studies—but rather about expressing a personal feeling, reflecting individuality and subjectivity. The meaning of the dream here lies in our perception of reality beyond the disembodied wanderings of the dreamer. Whether dreamlike or realistic, the dream evokes emotion, fear, impulse, and desire. Without attempting to seek exact meanings, the idea is to immerse oneself in a sensory space that stirs distinct feelings in each viewer. This is not the recounting of a single night—but a visual meditation on the question: Are all dreams illusions? Awaiting future explorations in virtual reality, this preview of my work showcases a dystopian imagination seeking visual forms that reflect the unreal. The deliberate variation in formats and sizes is intended to make each piece unique in its post-digital (re)production. The juxtaposition of blur and vivid colors illustrates a delayed and fragmented perception of memories— hidden within a random composition.
