ID Wanted® is a series that explores the phenomenon of artificial intelligence-generated portraits of non-existent people. This new technological feat of visual forgery allows the creation of a digital persona that could become a randomly generated “synthetic” identity, with the power to alter how we perceive the real world and ourselves. These portraits are made using the morphing technics of the same facial expressions on different derivations of the same non-existing face. The idea is to emphasize how easy it is today for reality to become an illusory world filled with fake people. It is also important to reconsider the cultural, social, and ethical implications of new technological tools for manipulating the conceptual reality and facts.
